    The managing member of the Herzberg Law Group, Aliza F. Herzberg has been practicing employment law for her entire career. Based in New York City, she provides advice and counsel to employers throughout the country and companies in the UK and the EU. Ms. Herzberg has experience in matters that arise under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as their comparable New York State and New York City statutes.Ms. Herzberg takes a proactive approach to these matters, conducting compliance training for executives and managers. She regularly reviews company manuals to ensure that they are up to date. She also handles workplace investigations that arise out of employee complaints or malfeasance. Part of her practice involves the performance of due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions, with an eye toward prospective labor and employment issues.Ms. Herzberg holds both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Pennsylvania. She was awarded her Juris Doctor from Fordham University Law School in 1994. After being associated with two national law firms, Ms. Herzberg was the lead partner of the employment practices group at a leading mid-sized New York City firm until founding Herzberg Law Group in 2017. Admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
