Anthony Cecutti

Anthony Cecutti is a criminal defense and civil rights litigation attorney, who represents clients throughout the New York City metropolitan area and the United States.  His practice is focused on representing those who have been accused of all types crimes, in both Federal and New York state courts, including those charged with international crimes, violent crimes, securities related crimes, capital punishment crimes, DWI, drug crimes, sex crimes and white collar crimes.  Mr. Cecutti has successfully represented clients whose civil rights were violated by law enforcement, including victims of police brutality, excessive force and false imprisonment.Mr. Cecutti attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his undergraduate degree.  Following a year of public service, he then attended Columbia University's School of Social Work, where he earned his master's degree.  Moving on to law school, he then earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School. While in law school and through his work at the Federal Defenders and Mental Hygiene Legal Services, he developed a strong belief that all clients deserve a strong advocate in their corner as they face charges of committing crimes.Recognized as one of New York’s Top White Collar Criminal Defense attorneys, Mr. Cecutti has been selected by his peers to the annual Super Lawyers list.In 2002, he completed a Public Interest Law Fellowship with The Bronx Defenders, where he was able to highlight his passion for legal advocacy. In 2003, Mr. Cecutti worked with the Center for Capital Litigation in South Carolina on capital punishment cases. Passionate about advocating for mental health, he then specialized with the Mental Hygiene Legal Services and New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.For the last 15 years, he has focused his efforts on being a zealous advocate for his clients and fights for them to be treated with the respect and dignity they deserve as they face an extremely challenging time in their lives.
