B. Otis Felder

Otis Felder has substantial trial and appellate experience in state and federal court and has represented various London Market insurers in a variety of coverage disputes.  As an Admiralty and Maritime Law Specialist certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization, Otis formerly managed litigation as in-house counsel for Princess Cruises and Cunard, focusing on crew and passenger cases. He acted as a 24-7 resource for legal advice to all departments, including ongoing ship operations in a variety of legal jurisdictions. He later was engaged as general counsel servicing various theme cruises involving commercial transactions in promoting well-known national brands and has successfully defended a variety of vessel owners and operators throughout the West Coast for over a decade.  Since joining Wilson Elser, Otis has prevailed in a number of significant admiralty proceedings initiated by vessel owners under the Limitation of Liability Act and continues to advise marine recreational rental companies as to charters, rental agreements and effective liability waivers.
