Cara L. Surell

Cara Leann Surell is a native Texan, spending her childhood in North East Texas, particularly Atlanta, Texas where she graduated from Atlanta High School. Mrs. Surell received her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas in Austin and obtained her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. Following graduation, Mrs. Surell became licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas and joined the Jackson Law Firm as an associate and worked there for 8 years.  She has now ventured out on her own and opened the Surell Law Firm in 2022.While in law school, Mrs. Surell worked for the head of the Immigration Clinic at theCenter for Legal and Social Justicewhere she did the research for a case of the first impression. She was an Octo-Finalist in the Linda & Dave Schlueter Moot Court Competition, was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society, and was on the Dean’s List. During law school, she became a certified family law mediator as Pursuant to the Texas Rules.Mrs. Surell has two sons. In her spare time, she enjoys golf, swimming and traveling.
