As partner at Rebar | Kelly, Cathleen Kelly Rebar handles cases of civil litigation, professional liability defense, insurance defense and large health company defense in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. As chair of the Information and Security Procedures section of the firm, she defends clients in cases related to employment practice, social services, health care, security, premises liability, toxic torts, products liability, and errors and omissions.After graduating magna cum laude from Long Island University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1995, she obtained a Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law in 1998. Ms. Rebar is admitted to practice in the states of Ohio, New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of New York, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.A member of the Council on Litigation Management, she is also on the organization’s boards for retail, restaurant and hospitality, professional liability, premises liability and products liability. Ms. Rebar is actively involved with the New York Bar Foundation, the Trial Law Institute, the Litigation Counsel of America Trial Lawyers Honors Society, the New York State Society of CPA and the National Retail and Restaurant Defense Association.Along with representing prominent engineers, architects, national retailers, and one of the largest health care providers and real estate brokerage firms, Ms. Rebar is actively involved with charity and the community. She works closely with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Laurel House, the YMCA and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
