Christopher A. Macey, Jr.

Focusing his practice exclusively on labor and employment law, Christopher A. Macey Jr. is a partner at Bell & Bell LLP. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Macey provides representation to both businesses and employees throughout the state as well as in New Jersey. Mr. Macey has been with the firm since 2009.The types of matters that Mr. Macey regularly handles in both state and federal courts include claims of workplace discrimination arising under various statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. He also has experience with prosecuting and defending intentional discrimination claims covered by 42 U.S.C. Section 1981 and employment-related civil rights claims under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983. In addition to discrimination issues, Mr. Macey provides representation in cases involving employment contract disputes, severance negotiations, contract review, unpaid wages, and wrongful termination. He is admitted to practice before all Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts. In addition, Mr. Macey is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.As an undergraduate, Mr. Macey attended The College of New Jersey in Ewing, where he majored in political science and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 2004. He then pursued his legal education at Fordham University School of Law and obtained his Juris Doctor in 2007.
