Christopher P. Thomas

Christopher P. Thomas took full advantage of the opportunity to work alongside a renowned criminal defense attorney for 11 years to develop the skills, courtroom acumen and knowledge of criminal laws that now benefit the clients of the SMT Legal. Serving clients throughout the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, Mr. Thomas concentrates his practice in the area of criminal defense. Mr. Thomas works aggressively on his clients' behalf in all types of criminal cases ranging from traffic violations to homicide and manslaughter. He also defends individuals charged with violating the laws pertaining to driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.Mr. Thomas graduated cum laude from Point Park University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science before attending and graduating from Duquesne University School of Law with a Juris Doctor. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Throughout his early career, Mr. Thomas worked on high-profile cases involving the defense of professional athletes and coaches, college athletes, entertainers, authors, doctors, lawyers and politicians charged with violation of the criminal laws. Many of the high-profile cases he has handled have been featured on the major television network news reports, CNN, ESPN and Good Morning America.Mr. Thomas is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
