Craig M. Peters

Craig M. Peters is a partner at Altair Law. His practice spans the state of California representing individuals who have suffered catastrophic injuries or families of those who have died. He handles matters involving automobile accidents, dangerous property conditions, machine accidents, product defects, professional negligence, roadway design and consumer fraud.Mr. Peters received bachelor degrees in communications and philosophy from the University of California, San Diego, and earned his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law.Mr. Peters has been licensed to practice law since 1996 and has tried more than 100 cases to verdict.  Before founding Altair Law, Mr. Peters spent 13 years doing criminal defense work as a public defender. This allowed him to develop trial skills which he utilized to successfully transition into personal injury and wrongful death cases.  Over the course of his career, Mr. Peters has recovered substantial settlements and verdicts for his clients, which has led to recognition by his peers within the legal profession. He has been featured in the publication “The Best Lawyers in America” and achieved an AV Preeminent* rating from the peer review organization Martindale-Hubbell.Outside of the office, Mr. Peters is very active in his legal and professional communities. He has been a law professor and regularly is asked to speak at trial lawyer events for various organizations.
