Dana L. Salazar is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, as well as the Rensselaer County Bar Association, the Columbia County Bar Association and the Albany County Bar Association. She is a Past-President of the Rensselaer County Bar Association and Past-President of the Capital District Women's Bar Association.

Verdicts/Settlements (Case Results):

In 2012, Dana L. Salazar obtained $250,000 for an infant who was injured by a dog, $285,000 for a person injured after a fall on a poorly maintained staircase and $600,000 for a victim and her family in an E. coli wrongful death action. In 2013, she negotiated a $425,000 settlement for a client injured in a slip and fall. In 2014, she obtained a $600,000 verdict for two people injured in a watersport incident, $165,000 for a client injured in a rear-end automobile accident and won a $9.7 million dollar verdict for a client in a breach of contract arbitration. In 2015 she negotiated a $100,000.00 settlement for a client injured on the job. In 2019 she recovered $100,000 for a client who slipped and fell in a store and $55,000 for a client who was injured in an automobile accident. In 2022, she recovered $200,000 for a family that lost their infant daughter.

Honors/Awards:

Dana L. Salazar was the recipient of the Albany Law School William McKinley Prize, a Founders’ Scholarship, a Dean Sponsler Honors Teaching Fellowship with Professor David Siegel, the Selma Mintz Memorial Prize for academic achievement while raising a family and the Joseph Rosch Prize for academic excellence in Administrative Law. Dana Salazar received the NYSBA Empire State Counsel Award for pro bono work in 2008 and 2009. She also received Jones Day New York's 2008 Pro Bono Service Award, where she founded and led Jones Day New York’s Hague Convention International Parental Child Abduction pro bono project.
