Elizabeth Jean Billies

A partner at the Law Offices of Dischell, Bartle & Dooley, PC, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, Elizabeth J. Billies focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters such as drafting pre- and post-nuptial agreements, obtaining equitable resolutions in fault and no-fault divorces, and litigating child support and custody issues for her clients in southeastern Pennsylvania. Her practical and compassionate collaborative approach has solidified her presence in the Lansdale community as an effective family law practitioner.Ms. Billies earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2002, where she was the recipient of the Ivanhoe Commandery Merit Scholarship. She earned her law degree from Villanova University School of Law in 2005, where she was a staff writer for the university's law review. In the same year, Ms. Billies was named the Clinical Student of the Year by the Clinical Legal Education Association. She subsequently clerked for the Honorable Susan Devlin Scott of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.Ms. Billies is admitted to practice before state courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as before the Supreme Court for both states and the U.S. District Court for Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the family law sections of both the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where she served on the Family Law Section Council from 2012-2014.  She is presently Treasurer for the Doris Jonas Freed Matrimonial American Inn of Court. A well-regarded author as well, Ms. Billies has published pieces for four editions of Pennsylvania Family Lawyer on topics such as alimony, termination of parental rights and contractual counsel fees. She has repeatedly been named one of the top family law lawyers under 40 by both the American Institute for Family Law Attorneys and the National Association of Family Law Attorneys.
