Ellen P. Stewart is a partner at Barnes Lipscomb & Stewart PLLC in Austin, Texas. She is a dedicated and experienced litigator in the area of estate, trust, probate and fiduciary litigation. Ms. Stewart's clients range from individuals, blended or unconventional families, children with special needs, incapacitated persons, fiduciaries, corporate trustees, and those with significant assets. Furthermore, she belongs to professional organizations such as the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Austin Bar Association and the Williamson County Bar Association.Ms. Stewart is currently serving on the Austin Bar Association Mentoring committee with the mission of connecting less experienced attorneys to more experienced attorneys providing opportunities professional growth.  Previously, she served as Past President (2011), President (2010-2011) and President Elect (2009) for the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Austin Bar Association. She has authored and lectured on a variety of continuing legal education resources on the subjects of litigation, probate estate administration and guardianship. Currently Ms. Stewart serves on the board of AGE of Central Texas.A true believer in giving back to the community, Ms. Stewart devotes her free time to volunteering and serving on various boards.  In addition, Ms. Stewart is on the board of AGE of Central Texas - connecting caregivers, those who need care giving and families with support resources in Central Texas. Currently, she serves on the Governance and She Thrives committees. She has served as a mentor to students at Southwestern University and Texas State University.
