Multiple groups from around the state and country filed briefs as amicus curiae supporting Ms. Draper's position, including the State of Texas.  On June 26, 2020, the Texas Supreme Court ruled 9-0 in Ms. Draper's favor and issued what may be the most important parental rights opinion in Texas history. Since that time, Ms. Draper has become the go-to expert in Texas on the issue of parent vs. non-parent child custody litigation, speaking regularly at state and local seminars.Ms. Draper is a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the Curt B. Henderson American Inn of Court, the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, the Collin County Women Lawyers Association, the Collin County Bar Association and the Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Texas and the Collin County Bar Association.  She served on the leadership team for the Collin County Bar Association's Family Law Section in 2019-2020.  Ms. Draper is currently serving her second two-year term on the State Bar of Texas Law Practice Management Committee.Ms. Draper is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and has set a goal of providing personalized, high-quality legal services for families while balancing a professional and personal life of her own.  Over the fifteen years, she has found her passion is in helping her clients through difficult situations to guide them to a successful, stable future.In 2001, Ms. Draper graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations.
