He began his career trying both civil and criminal cases while in law school with the Tulsa County District Attorney's office, through a special license to practice law in the State of Oklahoma. After graduating from law school, Israel worked for Robert Maloney, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division. He has litigated all types of civil cases throughout the State and has handled cases in all levels of state and federal courts, cases in administrative courts and has handled cases before the courts of appeal, the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit. His clients have included professionals, large and small businesses of all types of industries, law firms as well as commercial and residential real estate companies. In addition to having handled many commercial disputes, Israel has handled numerous high profile cases involving real property, the regulation of real property, land use and constitutional issues with governmental entities. He has taught continuing legal educational classes in the areas of landlord/tenant law, has written many articles on the subject and has been a guest speaker for many real estate industry groups, including the Texas Apartment Association, The MetroTex Realtor's Association and The Dallas Housing Authority.
