J. Joseph Givner

The founder of Givner Law Group, J. Joseph Givner is a highly regarded transactional and litigation attorney. Based in Aventura, Florida, he represents clients throughout the area in real estate sales and purchases, private placements and other financings, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate leasing, intellectual property licensing agreements, and partnership and joint venture formations. Mr. Givner has also represented an in-flight duty-free concessionaire in negotiations with domestic and foreign airlines.Mr. Givner's litigation practice has included shareholder disputes, trade secrets, franchising and other commercial matters. He then pursued his legal studies at Harvard Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor with honors in 1989. After graduation, Mr. Givner served a clerkship with a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida before joining a Miami law firm, where he gained significant trial and business law experience before forming his own firm in 1999. Fluent in Spanish and English, he is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.
