J. Robert Black

Robert believes in our legal system and the right to trial by jury.Before founding Black Law, PC, Robert was a partner at a successful law firm engaged in a nationwide practice. He founded Black Law, PC to further his fight for injured people. Robert focuses his practice on personal injury and product liability cases with an emphasis on helping people injured by toxic exposures and dangerous drugs and medical devices.Robert spent six years in Washington, DC working in politics and government on Capitol Hill before he received his J.D. from South Texas College of Law where he was on the Dean’s List and a member of Phi Delta Phi honor society. He has been selected as a Texas Rising Star in 2007, 2008, and 2009, by Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers-Rising Stars.Robert is a proud member of The National Trial Lawyers’ Top 100 Trial Lawyers 2017, the American Association for Justice, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.He is admitted to practice in Texas, including the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.Robert is married, has two children, and enjoys saltwater fly fishing and tennis.
