Jaclyn E. Faulds

Jaclyn Faulds is a director with the Houston Harbaugh, P.C., law firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A member of the firm's Business Law Group, Ms. Faulds represents a diverse range of clients throughout the state who have legal needs involving any of the following:·         Merger and acquisitions·         Stock and asset transactions·         Reorganizations and corporate restructuring·          Succession Planning·          General corporate law·        Commercial and banking transactions·         Business planning·        Corporate governanceOver the course of her career, Ms. Faulds has gained notable experience serving as outside general counsel to a number of businesses in various industries across her region. She has helped her clients throughout all stages of their business lifecycles, from initial startup and entity formation to restructuring, workouts and dissolution, succession planning, acquisitions and stock transfers.As outside counsel, she has assisted her clients with ongoing operations matters, such as employment and nondisclosure agreements, purchase orders, financing, operating agreements, purchase and sale agreements, settlement and release agreements, policy and use terms and conditions, regulatory compliance, and more. She also represents financial institutions in complex lending transactions and regularly advises and represents her clients during all phases of real estate transactions and closings.Ms. Faulds received her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, where she studied fine art and ceramics. At Penn State, she was a Dean's List scholar and vice president of the Art Honor Society. She then attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she obtained her Master of Business Administration from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and her Juris Doctor from the University's School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Ms. Faulds was national appellate Moot Court finalist and served as a staff editor for the Pittsburgh Journal of Environmental and Public Health.Ms. Faulds is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Bar Association and she serves as president of the Women's Bar Association of Western Pennsylvania and treasurer of the Women in the Law Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association.Committed to her local community as well, Ms. Faulds volunteers with the Neighborhood Legal Services Association as pro bono counsel to underrepresented persons in Allegheny County. She also serves as a volunteer attorney and business mentor for artists and art organizations through the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. Ms. Faulds serves as as a governor on the University of Pittsburgh Law Alumni Association Board of Governors, the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association and is sits on the Board of Trustees of La Roche University.
