Jacqueline B. Martinez

At the helm of JBM Legal, LLC, with branches in both La Habra, California, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is attorney Jacqueline Beatriz Martinez. While her current focus is on business immigration, she is also well-versed in family immigration, naturalization, and deportation and removal proceedings. With her legal career in Pennsylvania dating back to 1994, she has cultivated a rich tapestry of experiences.Throughout her illustrious career, Ms. Martinez has had the honor of representing a spectrum of clients, from global giants like SciCan, Simpler and SmartOps, to international investors hailing from China, Turkey, Russia and Latin America. Her clientele also includes individuals of note such as Pablo Sandoval, renowned for his time with the San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox and Dr. Bennet Omalu, famously portrayed by Will Smith in "Concussion." Her dedication to justice is further exemplified by her pro bono work for underserved clients and her founding of the John A. Meehan Citizenship Institute, which offers free citizenship representation to the Western Pennsylvania community through the Allegheny County Bar Foundation.Ms. Martinez’s academic journey began at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1987. She then earned her Juris Doctor from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law in 1991. Her admission to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania complements her extensive legal credentials.Prior to establishing JBM Legal, LLC, Ms. Martinez honed her skills as in-house counsel for a major international IT firm, where she delved deeply into employment-based and global immigration matters. In the legal community, she stands as a beacon of leadership and diversity. She leads the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Membership Development Committee and the Immigration Law Committee while also representing solo and small firms on the Diversity Team. Her involvement extends to the Solo and Small Firm Section, Women in the Profession and the Leadership Development Committee.Moreover, Ms. Martinez contributes her skills to the board of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, where she chairs the Diversity Committee. She is active on the board of governors and the council of the Homer S. Brown Division, and she is a proud member of the Hispanic Attorneys Committee, having been honored with their “El Sol” Award.A respected voice in her field, Ms. Martinez has shared her insights as a speaker and author for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and numerous other platforms across the United States.
