James E. Hacker

Attorney James E. Hacker is the managing partner of the Hacker Murphy, LLP, which has several offices located throughout the greater Capital District of New York. Nationally recognized as one of the leading trial lawyers in the country, Mr. Hacker represents a diverse range of clients throughout his region with legal needs involving commercial litigation and plaintiff personal injury claims.Jim is 1981 graduate of Hamilton College where he is a member of the Board of Trustees. He is a 1984 graduate of Albany Law School where he chairs the Board of Trustees. Jim is an elected fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in North America. The College is comprised of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada a membership is by invitation only. Jim is also an elected fellow of the International  College of Trial Lawyers where membership is also by invitation only.Highly active in his legal community, Mr. Hacker is the past president of the Albany County Bar Association, and he serves as regional vice president of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He is also the former president of the Capital District Trial Lawyers Association, where he received the organization's "Daniel H. Mahoney” Award in 2016.
