Attorney James J. Black, III is a principal member of the Black & Gerngross, P.C., law firm, where he focuses his practice primarily on complex litigation involving corporate finance and regulatory matters as well as insurance and reinsurance issues. Through the firm’s three law offices in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Black represents a diverse range of clients, including corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies and private individuals.Mr. Black earned his law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 1984, and both Pennsylvania and New Jersey approved him to practice law in their courtrooms. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the District of New Jersey and the District of Colorado, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.Throughout his long and illustrious career spanning more than 30 years, Mr. Black has built a reputation as one of the region's leading litigation attorneys, and he routinely lectures before various professional organizations and legal education institutions on subjects related to litigation practices, insurance law and more.
