Jaye Mendros

Jaye Mendros is in the Midtown Law Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. A skilled and committed criminal defense attorney with 30 years of legal experience, she serves clients in Oklahoma City and the surrounding areas.Ms. Mendros handles all types of felonies and misdemeanors at the State level, including homicide, assault, battery, DUI and other alcohol-related charges, expungements, firearms cases, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, domestic abuse, racketeering, revocations, sentence modifications and theft crimes. She also has experience with youthful offender cases, juvenile crimes and direct appeals. She has handled homicides and successfully defended against murder charges on Stand Your Ground. Ms. Mendros has also successfully defended cases where constitutional law overlapped with criminal law, and has changed laws in Oklahoma on constitutional grounds, most notably with her push to legalize tattoos in 2006.Earlier in her legal career, Ms. Mendros worked at Oklahoma Indigent Defense System, the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s Office, and the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. These experiences provided her with the knowledge and skills necessary for practicing criminal defense.
