Attorney Jerry Michael Acosta is the founder of Jerry Michael Acosta & Associates PLLC in Houston, Texas. Mr. Acosta practices criminal law with a focus in juvenile law, handling matters as simple as trespass to as complicated as capital murder. He has over two decades of experience. He serves a broad range of clients throughout the Houston region and across the state of Texas.Mr. Acosta develops close, personal relationships with his clients and understands the devastating impact of a criminal charge or accusation. He is dedicated to fighting for the rights of his clients and attaining justice.Over the course of his career, Mr. Acosta has defended clients in nearly every type of criminal proceeding. He has experience with cases involving juveniles, homicides, sexual offenses and white collar crimes. He handles federal crimes and criminal appeals, as well as various misdemeanors and felonies.In addition to running Jerry Michael Acosta & Associates PLLC, Mr. Acosta enjoys being an active member of his legal community. He is a member of the Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, the Houston Bar Association, the Mexican-American Bar Association, and the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Additionally, Mr. Acosta was recently appointed to serve the City of Houston as a Municipal Court Associate Judge.Mr. Acosta is a native Houstonian and is a proud graduate of St. Thomas High School. He obtained a bachelor’s degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. He went on to earn his law degree from South Texas College of Law. He received his license to practice law in 2004. He holds an active license before all Texas state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
