Jim Clancy

Jim Clancy is an attorney focusing his practice on complex business and commercial disputes. He is a member of Branscomb Law, a Texas law firm with offices in Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston, and San Antonio. In addition to representing clients in certain personal injury cases, he takes care of all elements of their business problems. In his 28-plus years of practice, he has successfully defended them in a variety of cases, including personal injury claims as a result of refinery explosions; engineering defects in the construction of a recycling plant; theft of trade secrets; and violation of employment agreements. He has also obtained million-dollar jury verdicts for fraud and quantum meruit, and another for a charitable foundation in a case of breach of fiduciary duty.Graduating with the highest honors from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Mr. Clancy secured a bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 1986. Serving the army for about six years, he joined The University of Texas School of Law and completed his Juris Doctor degree in 1996. While in law school, he served as the associate editor of The Review of Litigation.
