John H. Howard

John H. Howard represents individuals in California and nationwide who have been injured or have lost loved ones in incidents caused by the wrongful actions of others. His past cases have involved sexual abuse; campus safety and retail store security abuses; and car, bus and train accidents. Mr. Howard has also represented clients who have suffered discrimination in the workplace due to age, sex, race or religion.Recognized for the successful representation of his clients, which includes numerous verdicts and settlements far in excess of $1 million, Mr. Howard was named to the National Trial Lawyers "Top 100 Trial Lawyers" and he was named "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association in 2006 and 2016 and the California Coast Chapter of ABOTA in 2009, 2010, and 2011. Martindale-Hubbell has honored him with its AV-Preeminent* rating on account of his record and high ethical standards.An active participant in numerous professional organizations, Mr. Howard is a member of and has occupied executive positions in the California and Ventura County bar associations as well as the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Ventura County Trial Lawyers Association. He has also served on the Ventura County Bar Association's Judicial Nominations Evaluation Committee and has been a presenter in several Masters in Trial programs put on by the American Board of Trial Advocates.John was a Lt.
