John S. Hager

A native of Spring Valley, New York, attorney John S. Hager founded the law firm Hager & Schwartz, PA, in Miami, Florida, in 2003. His prior experience as an assistant state attorney has helped him gain an insider’s insight into the workings of the criminal justice system, which paved the way for his career as a defense attorney. He strives to provide credible legal advice and fierce representation in all matters of criminal defense, including DUI and white collar crimes.After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in 1994, Mr. Hager went on to complete his J.D. at Nova Southeastern University. Equipped with a unique set of skills and knowledge assimilated from his years as a prosecutor, he strategizes for each case according to the specific situations and variables associated with the case. After he was done prosecuting thousands of cases involving misdemeanors and felonies, he proceeded to advocate on behalf of some of the state’s largest insurance companies as an attorney with the largest insurance defense firm in Florida.Serving many leadership positions at various prominent legal associations, Mr. Hager is the vice president and board member of the Broward County Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association.
