Jonathan’s practice is focused on business and complex commercial litigation supported by experience in antitrust, contract, real estate, intellectual property, false advertising, and energy disputes, as well as governmental investigations and due diligence in mergers and acquisitions for a wide spectrum of clients and companies. He has sat first and second chair on a wide range of matters, including in a $1.5 billion false advertising federal lawsuit with implications for the food industry and American consumers, served as lead associate as part of the litigation team that secured a multi-million dollar settlement for a pharmaceutical client and helped bring resolution in a breach of contract dispute against a top energy company. He also has represented school districts in complex litigation over the last decade that were successfully resolved for his clients as well as part of the litigation teams that secured multi-million dollar settlements for energy companies in contractual disputes. He currently works with multiple co-counsel firms on several antitrust and complex litigation matters around the country.Jonathan is an avid traveler and managed to set foot on all seven continents before age 30. He tries to volunteer or find ways to give back to the local communities during his journeys. He’s also dedicated time each year to pro bono cases, and one of his clients in 2015 had her case featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered.” In addition, he is the 2011 recipient of the Texas Civil Rights Project Kristi Couvillon Pro Bono Award.
