Karri Bertrand

A fierce advocate and compassionate attorney, Karri Bertrand is the owner of the firm KB Family Law, located in Dallas, Texas. Licensed in Texas in 2018, she seeks to resolve complex family law issues of the people of Dallas, Collin, Tarrant and Denton counties in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area, giving them the freedom to move on with their lives. She uses her experience and legal acumen to cater to the needs of LGBTQ+ families in Texas, taking on issues of divorce, adoption, and other appeals.Completing her undergraduate degree in literaturesumma cum laude, Ms. Bertrand graduated in 2014 from The University of Texas at Dallas. She was an active part of the Community Chorale and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. Proceeding that, she joined the inaugural class of UNT Dallas College of Law and obtained her J.D.cum laudein 2018. While there, she was on the dean’s list, received the North Texas Giving Day Scholarship, and served in leadership roles in several esteemed student associations, including law review.Being certified as a paralegal for about 15 years prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Bertrand brings a unique foundation to her practice. During this tenure, she had hands-on experience with trials, depositions, mediations, complex legal matters, and appellate cases.With a track record of success and satisfied clients throughout her journey so far, Ms. Bertrand has achieved several honors in the legal profession.
