During law school, she was one of few students selected to compete for Stetson's nationally renowned Trial Team, which won. She worked as a clerk at the Federal Defender Program in Chicago, Illinois, and the Federal Public Defender for the Middle District of Illinois due to her advocacy and evidence presentation skills in law school.
