Kathryn DeVane Hamilton

When Kathryn DeVane Hamilton founded the firm, she wanted to focus exclusively on handling family law cases and the short- and long-term implications these issues have for people living in Miami, Florida. She recognizes that the decisions she helps her clients make are among the most important choices in their lives. Accordingly, she assigns her full attention to every case that comes across her desk.Several important events have shaped Ms. Hamilton's ability to provide clients with exceptional representation. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in society and justice in 1995 from the University of Washington, and then received a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 1998. Following her graduation, she took a role as a public defender and represented clients in more than 40 trials.Blending her education and real-world experience, Ms. Hamilton is able to bring her litigation skills and knowledge of the law to her practice. She also employs the people and resources available to her through memberships with The Florida Bar Family Law Section and The First Family Law American Inn of Court. She assists clients with valuing and dividing assets, enforcing child support and drafting pre- or postnuptial agreements.
