Kelly A. Smakal

Kelly A. Smakal is an attorney at Smakal Munn P.C. in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but represents clients throughout the State of Oklahoma.  She has been licensed to practice law since 1997 and for over 25 years has focused her practice on divorce, paternity, child custody, support and all domestic matters, from simple to complex, as well as guardianship matters concerning children and adults, and adoptions. She also handles enforcement and contempt matters, as well as modifications or changes to existing Orders.  Ms. Smakal handles cases in and around Tulsa, its surrounding counties, as well as across the state as litigants request.Because of her passion and skill, Ms. Smakal has earned recognition and awards from several legal professional organizations. While attending law school, she belonged to various student associations and was on the Dean's List and a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal honor fraternity.In addition to having more than 25 years of litigation experience at the state and appellate levels, Ms. Smakal regularly uses alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation to successfully negotiate and settle her cases. She enjoys educating others on family and domestic matters and has served as a speaker at various continuing legal education seminars, as well as acting as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Tulsa Law School Legal Clinic in the area of elder law and guardianships.Ms. Smakal volunteers in her community and is active in professional legal organizations, including the Tulsa County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. She has held a variety of different roles in these organizations over the course of her career, and has been recognized and received various awards, including but not limited to Outstanding Committee Chairperson.Ms. Smakal has been recognized as a Super Lawyer since 2010.
