Lester J. Friedman

Lester J. Friedman is an attorney and the founder of The Law Offices of Lester Friedman in Beverly Hills, California. Mr. Friedman devotes his practice to Workers’ Compensation Law and serves a wide range of clients in the Los Angeles area and throughout Southern California who have been injured in the course of their employment.Mr. Friedman holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned his law degree from Southwestern Law School. He is a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law through the State Bar of California and has been admitted to practice law in California since 1977.Following law school, Mr. Friedman worked for a private firm in the areas of workers’ compensation law and general civil litigation, eventually becoming a partner in the firm. He opened his own firm in 1986.An active member of the California Applicants’ Attorney Association, Mr. Friedman sits on the board of directors. In addition, he became a Workers’ Appeals Board Judge Protem in 1984 and was appointed as a Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board Arbitrator in 1990.Outside of the legal field, Mr. Friedman enjoys being involved in both sports and local politics. He stays active in these areas by participating as an official scorer for the UCLA men’s basketball team, the PAC-12 conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association. In the local political arena he was elected to the City Council of the City of Beverly Hills in 2017 and he is the Mayor of the City of Beverly Hills for the 2020-2021 term.
