Lorie L. Chism

A shareholder in Amelia Law Group, PLLC, in Amelia Island, Florida, Lorie L. Chism concentrates her practice on business and corporate law, tax law, estate planning and real estate law, serving a broad base of primarily business clients throughout the Jacksonville metropolitan area and Nassau County. At the firm, Mrs. Chism brings experience as a certified public accountant to bear on complex matters such as mergers and acquisitions, succession planning for business owners and strategic business planning.After earning her B.B.A. in accounting from the University of North Florida in 1989, Ms. Chism secured a position as an accountant at Lorie McCarroll, P.A., in 1991.  She obtained her law degree with honors from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2001. As an attorney, she gained invaluable experience at the boutique law firm of Purcell, Flanagan, Hay and Greene. P.A., before becoming a Shareholder at Rogers Towers, P.A.Mrs. Chism formed Amelia Law Group, PLLC, in 2014.  ALG prides itself on being a results oriented firm.  Mrs. Chism combines a commitment to exceptional services with good judgment, common sense and a practical approach to what each client needs.  She brings value to each transaction by identifying potential problems and developing innovative solutions to obtain the best results for her clients.Admitted to practice before state courts in both Florida and Georgia, Mrs. Chism holds membership in several professional organizations in order to remain abreast of developments in her field. In addition to membership in the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, she is a member of the Taxation Law and Business sections of the State Bar of Georgia, the Florida Institute of CPAs and the American Society of Attorney-CPAs. Recognized among Florida Trend's 2011 "Legal Elite," she serves her community outside her practice through her involvement in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County Foundation and the Nassau Council On Aging.
