Margaret Carlo

A compassionate and zealous New York family law attorney, Margaret Carlo is the person behind the law firm bearing her name. She has focused her practice on family law for her entire legal career and has handled a variety of sophisticated legal matters involving high net worth divorces, contested child custody, property division, marital agreements, spousal support, paternity, family mediation and post-decree modifications.Majoring in criminal justice, Ms. Carlo earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Pace University, New York, in 2001. She completed her legal education at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2006 and obtained her license to practice in New York in 2009.Ms. Carlo possesses a vast amount of litigation and negotiation experience. She has a record of securing favorable verdicts for her clients both in and out of the courtroom, and also appears in criminal courts when her cases involve domestic violence and order of protection violations. Additionally, she assists families with residential and commercial real estate transactions.Driven by a desire to help those in need, Ms. Carlo served as an advocate for the Suffolk County Coalition Against Domestic Violence and also helped disadvantaged Brazil children for a few months.
