Marissa C. Gordon works out of the Albany, New York, office of Colwell Law, which has two other offices in St. Syracuse and Saratoga Springs, New York. Serving clients across the New York capital district, Ms. Gordon focuses her practice on family law and divorce-related issues.Graduating with honors from the Albany Law School, Union University in Albany, New York, Ms. Gordon was the recipient of the Matrimonial Law Prize, which is awarded to the student who achieves the highest grade in the course. In 2021, she passed the New York state bar exam and was admitted to practice law. Before attending Albany Law School, Ms. Gordon earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University at Albany, SUNY, in 2017.Ms. Gordon commenced her legal career as a legal intern at the Washington County District Attorney's Office. During her time there, she helped with witness preparation and jury selection, observed numerous court appearances, second-seated a DWI trial, and conducted a successful trespass trial resulting in a conviction.Following her internship at the Washington County District Attorney's Office, Ms. Gordon pursued her interest in matrimonial and family law by interning at Colwell Law during her second year of law school. Upon graduating, she was promoted to law clerk, and later, an associate attorney. Her responsibilities encompassed drafting various legal documents, reviewing discovery materials, communicating with clients, attending court appearances under the guidance of a supervising attorney and conducting legal research.
