Melissa J. Fox

Melissa Fox is an associate at ADZ Law, LLP. Melissa has dedicated her career to helping families navigate the legal system with confidence and knowledge. She represents individuals in all family law matters, specializing in domestic violence and custody disputes. Melissa views each case from a trauma informed perspective, understanding the emotional challenges that can accompany life-changing family law matters. Her empathetic nature lends itself to ensuring her clients feel heard and informed.Melissa earned her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson in 2013. She earned her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Santa Clara University School of Law in May 2018 and was admitted to the California Bar in December 2018. While studying at Santa Clara Law, Melissa gained invaluable experience working at Disability Rights California, Bay Area Legal Aid, and the Santa Clara Law International Human Rights Clinic. Melissa was also recognized with the CALI award for earning the highest grade awarded in the following courses: Family Law, Public Interest and Social Justice Law Practice, Remedies, and Business Organizations. Melissa also clerked for a Santa Clara County family law judge. Upon graduation from Santa Clara Law, Melissa became an integral member of a boutique family law firm in San Jose, where she practiced until joining ADZ in May 2022.Melissa is an active member of the Santa Clara County, Alameda County, and San Mateo County Bar Associations.
