Michael N. Berke

Attorney Michael N. Berke is the founder of Michael N. Berke Law Office in Santa Clarita, California. Mr. Berke focuses his practice on both creditors’ and debtors’ rights, particularly the collection of attorney’s fees, and represents clients throughout the state of California. In addition to creditors’ and debtors’ rights, he also works with matters of landlord post-judgment retainer collections, contract negotiation, debt collection and more.After Mr. Berke graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, he earned his law degree from University of West Los Angeles. He has been admitted to practice in all California state courts for more than 30 years and is also licensed to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and various federal courts in the state of California.Following law school, he spent three decades serving as of counsel at the Thousand Oaks-based American Recovery Service Incorporated, where he managed litigation throughout California and oversaw litigation nationwide. After his service as of counsel, he moved on to opening his law firm with the focus of commercial and creditor collections.In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Berke was previously active in various collections organizations. He formerly belonged to associations including the Commercial Collection Agency Association and the Commercial Law League of America, the nation’s oldest creditors’ rights association.Mr. Berke has a wide range of litigation experience, including both civil and commercial litigation. Outside of his law practice, he remains actively involved in several professional organizations including The State Bar of California.
