Michael acted as Plaintiffs’ Liaison Counsel in In Re: Plavix Products Liability Litigation before the Supreme Court, New York County. Additionally, Michael was heavily involved in In re: Long Island Power Authority, Hurricane Sandy Litigation¬—a class action lawsuit seeking to provide monetary recovery for residents of Long Island that were affected by “Superstorm Sandy.”Michael’s current mass tort litigations include Allergan breast implants, Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), Enfamil/Similac baby formula, Roundup and Paraquat herbicides, various defective medical devices and the pharmaceutical drugs Elmiron (Pentosan Polysulfate), Uloric (Febuxostat) and Zantac (Ranitidine). Michael also handles claims involving the James L. Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act—supporting those injured through their exposure to toxins at the “Ground Zero” site—as well as the Child Victims Act, which provides a renewed avenue of recovery for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.In addition to his mass tort experience, Michael has an extensive background in state and federal court proceedings involving personal injury, general liability, commercial litigation, premises liability and federal statutory violations.Michael received his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Baruch College in 2004, and his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from St. John’s University School of Law in 2008—where he served as the Managing Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review.
