Michael W. Schroeder

Michael W. Schroeder focuses his practice primarily on intellectual property law as a co-founder of Reyes & Schroeder Associates, P.C. His firm is located in Montebello, California, and he represents people and businesses throughout the state. Mr. Schroeder has been admitted to practice before all California state courts since 2012, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California.Mr. Schroeder majored in broadcast journalism as an undergraduate at Northwestern University and received a Bachelor of Science in 2005. After spending time as an advertising account executive, he decided to pursue a legal education and enrolled at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. While he was there, Mr. Schroeder was a member of the Southwestern Law Review and interned at a well-known media company before graduating in 2012. He was an associate with a Los Angeles-based national law firm before joining his current firm in March 2017.Mr. Schroeder recognizes that intellectual property is often a company’s most valuable asset, and he works with his clients to create, register and protect it. His experience encompasses domestic and international trademarks, trade names, copyrights, and trade secrets, handling related litigation and transactions and appearing before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, among other agencies. Mr. Schroeder has worked on cases involving unfair competition, trade secret misappropriation, and trademark infringement, and he has also prepared and reviewed licensing agreements and other transactional documents through which his clients’ properties can be monetized. His background has additionally included domain name disputes, digital marketing, and policies regarding cookies and data privacy.
