Navid Soleymani

A dedicated partner at the law firm of Yadegar Minoofar & Soleymani LLP, attorney Navid Soleymani has been representing the rights of California residents for 20 years. Licensed in California and the United States District Court for the Central, Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, he has litigated a number of cases related to employment law, intellectual property law, entertainment law and complex business disputes.After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in business economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1996, Mr. Soleymani received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the USC Gould School of Law in 2001. He was among the top 10% in his class and a member of the Southern California Law Review.Early in his career, Mr. Soleymani served as a secretary and legislative aide to State Senator Richard K. Rainey in Sacramento, California. He also clerked for the Honorable David R. Thompson of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit. He later successfully handled cases as an attorney at a well-known law firm for several years before partnering with his current firm in 2011.Steadfast and organized, Mr. Soleymani is experienced in the pertinent resolution of intellectual property lawsuits involving trade secret misappropriation, trademark and copyright infringement, defamation, and more. He has also adeptly represented individuals and publicly held corporations facing business and employment law disputes. In a recent federal jury trial case against the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, he appeared as a chair and was appreciated for his work by federal court judges.A member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Entertainment Law and Intellectual Property Section, Mr. Soleymani is a former board member and a fellow of the Anti-Defamation League and a member of the Jewish Federation.
