Nicholas Spetsas

Nicholas Spetsas was born and raised in Moorestown, New Jersey. Mr. Spetsas began his college career as a Division 1 swimmer at Loyola Maryland, where he competed during the years when Michael Phelps was an assistant coach. After swimming for two years at Loyola Maryland, Nick ended his college swimming career to pursue his dream of becoming a trial attorney. He transferred to Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, where he studied political science.After college, Mr. Spetsas attended the University of South Carolina School of Law and graduated with a number of awards and credentials in 2016. As a student at the law school, Mr. Spetsas had endless possibilities and opportunities to explore various aspects of trial practice and gain invaluable knowledge that helps him to this day. Mr. Spetsas was a certified student attorney in the university’s Juvenile Justice Clinic, and he served as a legal intern at several law firms and offices. Mr. Spetsas also interned for a Fortune 500 company during his first year of law school, and thereafter he worked at a personal injury firm and for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.After law school, Mr. Spetsas moved to Orlando, Florida and worked for several of the largest and most prestigious insurance defense law firms in Florida, including one multi-national insurance defense law firm, where he represented major corporations. Mr. Spetsas spent most of his defense career working in complex litigation, including premises liability, commercial negligence, and negligent security, representing high-dollar defendants. Mr. Spetsas ultimately left the defense side to pursue his dream of zealously representing injured people.Now, Mr. Spetsas is partner and co-founder of Spetsas Buist Accident Injury Lawyers, PLLC, where he uses the tactics and tricks he learned working for the defense side to help injured people across Florida to maximize the value of their cases. He concentrates his practice on wrongful death and personal injury cases, assisting victims who have suffered injuries as a result of amusement park accidents, theme park accidents, car accidents, semi-truck accidents, slip-and-fall accidents, negligent security incidents, and brain injuries.Mr. Spetsas’ understanding of the techniques and tactics used by the insurance firms and his extensive experience on the defense side helps him anticipate the potential challenges that might arise in each case, and he has a strong grasp of how the insurance companies value a given case.
