Noah D. Genel, an accomplished litigator and advisor, currently serves as the Chair of the State Regulatory Compliance and Litigation practice at his firm, Ford O’Brien Landy LLP, located in New York, New York, Austin, Texas, and Miami, Florida. Serving a diverse clientele in and around New York, Mr. Genel's legal experience spans complex litigation and government compliance, particularly in the criminal, civil and administrative realms, as well as in-depth knowledge of local government operations and agency coordination.Mr. Genel's prior roles include serving as senior investigative counsel and assistant district attorney in Manhattan, where he tackled a variety of high-profile cases, from financial fraud to organized crime. His efforts have directly influenced legislative reform, notably in construction safety. Before his public service, he practiced privately, dealing with criminal and civil litigation across multiple legal entities, including the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.With over two decades of legal experience, his impressive background includes a tenure as commissioner and chair of the New York City Business Integrity Commission (BIC), where he regulated key industries within the city. He led over 70 employees, shaping policy and enforcement decisions and collaborating with federal, state and local partners.One of Mr. Genel's notable policy contributions was improving traffic safety within the commercial waste-hauling industry, culminating in the passage of Local Law 198 of 2019.
