Patrick A. Wright

Patrick A. Wright handles all types of family law matters ranging from divorce and child custody to complex property cases. He also handles all types of personal injury matters.  He is the managing partner of The Wright Firm, LLP. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and also Board Certified in Child Welfare. He is a Member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. He is a member of the Family Law Council for the State Bar of Texas and serves on the Future of Family Law Committee and Publications committees.  Patrick and Beth Johnson will be the Co-Editors of the Family Law Section Report in 2024.    His memberships include the State Bar of Texas – Family Law Section, The Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists, The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers-Website Committee, Practice and Technology Committee, The Dallas Bar, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 List, American Bar Association, 2025 ABA TECHSHOW Board, American Bar Association, Texas Family Law Foundation, and The Denton Bar Association.  He was also appointed in 2023 to be on the State Bar of Texas Law Practice Management Committee by the President of the State Bar of Texas for his work in law practice management.   Patrick is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is also AV rated by Martindale-Hubble Peer Review Ratings.  He has also been recognized in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. His law firm has also been recognized as the Best Civil Law Firm in Denton County, Texas for 2023.  The firm has also been recognized as a Best Law Firm by U.S. News and World Report for both family law and family law mediation in 2024.
