Paula M. Lawhon

As founder of Lawhon Law & Mediation P.C., Paula M. Lawhon works as a full-time neutral mediator with families throughout Northern California in matters including the mediation of divorce, pre-marital and postnuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements. The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization has certified Ms. Lawhon as a Family Law Specialist.In 1996, Ms. Lawhon graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Arts in criminology, law and society. She attended the University of California Hastings College of the Law, receiving a Juris Doctor in 1999. Before she entered private practice, Ms. Lawhon served as an investigator in criminal and civil issues and practiced in both civil and family litigation.Ms. Lawhon is a frequent presenter on Family Law Mediation issues and has served as a mediator for the Marin County Superior Court’s family law Bench Bar Settlement Conferences and the San Francisco Superior Court Mandatory Settlement Conferences.A published author, Ms. Lawhon is a member of The State Bar of California, The Bar Association of San Francisco’s Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution sections, The Association for Conflict Resolution, the Collaborative Attorneys and Mediators of Marin, the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California and the Marin County Bar Association.The attorney-mediators at Lawhon Law & Mediation, P.C. work with clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to help reach enforceable agreements together without the court battle.
