McFadden v. Robleto, Alameda County Superior Court Case No. RG18930291. Defense against claims brought by disgruntled litigant against me as an attorney for my client following a lawful property inspection. Successful anti-SLAPP motion granted in 2019. Plaintiff defaulted on subsequent appeal, 2020
Chantler v. Yeganeh - 5 appeals (1st Appellate District Appeal Nos. A143353, A146492, A152138, A150010, and A150544. Successful motion to dismiss all appeals brought by Yeganeh under rarely-used disentitlement doctrine. Unpublished decision available upon request, 2019
East Palo Alto Community Development and Neighborhood Association v. : representation of nonprofit housing provider in defense against claims of wage/hour violations brought by terminated on-site property manager, and as plaintiff in related unlawful detainer proceedings due to manager hold-over. Settled following negotiations with partial payment to employee (1/3 of requested amount) and move-out agreement favorable to nonprofit, 2019
Ingram v Yeganeh, San Mateo County Case No. CIV410586. Affirmative litigation on behalf of named victim and general public (B&P 17200) against predatory mortgage broker. Judgment for named plaintiff ($400,000) through settlement (2001.) Judgment in favor of the general public following summary adjudication (2001). Post-trial restitution hearings (following substantial delays manufactured by defendant), resulting in judgments providing for full restitution for 32 victims ($480,000 aggregate.) Attorney's fee award with 1.5 multiplier (with co-counsel) - $3,000,000. Defense against numerous appeals of the judgment and in subsequent bankruptcy proceedings resulting in denial of discharge to the defendant/debtor, 2004

Representation of survivor in affirmative pursuit of restraining order and defense against retaliatory restraining order application by batterer. Grant of RO to client; denial of RO to batterer. Chantler et al. v. Yeganeh et al. San Mateo County Superior Court Case No. CIV530285. Affirmative litigation against predatory mortgage broker and family to collect attorney's fees. Causes of action included Civil RICO (won on summary adjudication), fraudulent transfer and renewal of judgment. Case settled during trial (Chantler claims only) for transfer to Plaintiff of real property valued at $2,400,000 plus $100,000 payment. Representation: 2014-2019.
