Robert H. Etnyre, Jr.

Robert H. Etnyre, Jr. is of counsel to Royston Rayzor, and he practices out of the firm’s offices in Houston, Texas. Representing clients throughout the state, he focuses his practice on complex civil litigation at both the trial and appellate levels.Mr. Etnyre attended Trinity University in San Antonio as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. After obtaining a Master of Arts in 1975 from The University of Texas at Austin, he went on to pursue his legal education at the University of Houston Law Center. While he was there, Mr. Etnyre served as the articles editor of the Houston Law Review before being awarded his Juris Doctor with honors in 1978. Admitted to practice in Texas since that year, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.Mr. Etnyre furnishes defense representation for his company and individual clients in a variety of matters. The cases that he has handled have included bad faith and other types of insurance coverage, personal injury claims arising out of premises liability, defective products, and construction site accidents, maritime torts, contract breaches, and property damage. In addition to his courtroom work, Mr. Etnyre has extensive experience in the preparation and review of contracts involving maritime services, oil and gas drilling, and master service agreements, and he has also handled on a pro bono basis petitions on behalf of people who are seeking asylum in the United States.
