Robert J. Cosgrove

Attorney Robert J. Cosgrove is a partner at the law firm Wade Clark Mulcahy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. Cosgrove concentrates his practice on insurance law, handling cases involving bad faith insurance claims and insurance defense. He serves clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.After graduating from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree, Mr. Cosgrove earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law. While at law school, he served on the Fordham Environmental Law Review. He is qualified to practice law before several courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Cosgrove served as an assistant district attorney for the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office in New York. As a prosecutor, he worked with a variety of legal issues, including environmental law, violent crimes and drug charges. At Wade Clark Mulcahy, he handles a wide range of insurance defense matters as well as cases involving personal injury, cybersecurity, data privacy and professional liability defense.In addition to his law practice, Mr. Cosgrove is active in legal organizations. He is the regional director of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and a past president of the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel.
