Robert S. Miller is a partner in the law firm Lubin Olson & Niewiadomski LLP in Walnut Creek, California. He assists businesses and people with real property acquisition and dispositions, entity creation, joint ventures, leasing, construction, financing, project development and entitlement.In addition to the broad range of real estate matters described above, Mr. Miller has particular expertise in the homebuilding industry, especially involving builders, developers and master planned communities, due to his extensive background in the homebuilding sector and related transactions.  Because of this expertise, Mr. Miller served on the Board of Directors of a publicly traded homebuilder, Landsea Homes, for many years. He is a part of the firm’s Business, Real Estate and Land Use Practice Groups. Mr. Miller serves clients in San Francisco, Walnut Creek and throughout California.Graduating cum laude, Mr. Miller obtained his doctorate in jurisprudence from Harvard Law School in 1989. He is also a graduate of Princeton University. He is licensed to practice law in California and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.After law school, Mr. Miller clerked for a renowned judge at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, Jerome Farris. He has many professional connections within the legal sector and is a former chair of The State Bar of California’s Real Property Law Section’s Executive Committee.  He has published extensively on real estate topics and frequently gives talks on the subject.
