At the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, he earned his Juris Doctor in 1997 and was editor-in-chief of the Interdisciplinary Law Journal.Admitted to practice in the state of California, he is also admitted before the United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
