His responsibilities also included preparing contracts, drafting ordinances and leading settlement negotiations. His dedication to the City of Schenectady extends beyond his professional duties; he was also appointed as a board member on the City’s Planning Commission, a role that allows him to contribute to the city’s development and planning processes.Educated at The College of Saint Rose with a Bachelor of Science in 2005, followed by his law degree in 2011, Mr. Bailey’s educational background has solidly prepared him for his diverse and challenging legal career. His courtroom experience is extensive, having tried cases in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York and prepared briefs for the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit, as well as the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division.Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Bailey is deeply involved in community service and charitable activities. His commitment was recognized when he served in AmeriCorps for a year, earning both the presidential and congressional Volunteer Service Awards.
