Shawn D. Tillis

Shawn's years of experience and knowledge acquired from various firms, combined with his ability to communicate with clients and listen to their stories, allow him to effectively explain their situations and circumstances to the judges and jurors in a convincing manner.A 1993 graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz, Mr. Tillis earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and later obtained his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Golden Gate University School of Law in 2001. He was honored with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his excelling in the judicial decisions making class.Mr. Tillis was a recipient of the prestigious Diana Richmond scholarship during his time as a law student and has since secured several accolades for his meritorious career in law. He was honored with the Minority Bar Coalition Unity Award and the Just the Beginning foundation’s Conference Award. In addition to this, he was also featured in The Bar Association of San Francisco’s 2017 Fall edition. In 2016, he was awarded the 2016 Minority Bar Coalition's Unity Award.Shawn is the former President of the Alameda-Contra Costa Trial Lawyers Association (ACCTLA) and is an Executive Committee Board Member of the First District Appellate Project (FDAP).
