During his time there, he held the position of vice justice for the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, served as president of the Environmental Law Forum and was an active member of the International Law Society. He also served as a law clerk at the United States Attorney's Office in Nevada, Los Angeles City Attorney's Office and the California Association of Realtors.Admitted to practice in Texas since 1995, Mr. Song is also licensed to practice in California, the United States Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 5th and 6th Circuits, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Central Districts of California.Mr. Song's affiliations and community service include being a member of the Friends' Committee for the Dallas Asian American Cultural Center, a member of the Dallas Bar Association and a former commissioner of the City of Dallas' Cultural Affairs Commission. He also served as the vice president and director of the Dallas Asian-American Bar Association and the director of the State Bar of Texas – Texas Minority Counsel Program.
